Best coffee shops in Sandy?

So, I'm retired and Median household income is $102,201, which feels pretty solid for the area. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Has anyone dealt with this? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The cost of living is honestly better than expected and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Maple Ridge for 7 years. Moved from Dallas for weather. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2019 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
healthcare is strong here. retail is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are affordable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it was the best decision I ever made. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have hiking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Maple Ridge schools are surprisingly good. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Urban sprawl is real. Dating scene is rough. And food scene can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I'm a real estate agent and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

Came here for work and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The walkability is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

We moved here with our family and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Schools in Greenfield area are challenging. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value weather, you'll love it. The safety is genuinely underrated and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Highland) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2022 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

I work in retail here and there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The job market for my field is pretty good. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
