Random thought, Homes are going for about $583,900 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Anyone in a similar situation?

I work in manufacturing here and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The job market for my field is challenging. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Public transit is hit or miss here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.

Came here for weather and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The traffic is honestly improving and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Happy to answer more specific questions..

I've lived in Pine Hills for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Good healthcare facilities
- The traffic scene is solid
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are developing. You get used to it after the first year.
