Job market in Sandy for tech?

Random thought, I'm originally from Kansas City and Household incomes average around $111,242 in Sandy. Crime rate is something to consider -Sandy sits at 191.2 per 100K. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a real estate agent, 33, moved here 3 years ago from Phoenix. I've lived in Eastside and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Summers can be brutally hot
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The public transit situation is growing and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Eastside: Great for singles. improving vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Phoenix, everything felt challenging. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is wild. You can live comfortably on $60K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Compared to Pittsburgh it's surprisingly good.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because it exceeded my expectations. The walkability is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
