Should I move to Sandy or stay in Salt Lake City?
Just moved here 15 months ago and Rent is about $1,728/month for a decent place. With a population of 94,723, Sandy is a smaller city. Homes are going for about $562,500 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 94,723 people. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The suburbs are where most families end up. Am I overthinking this? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.
