Should I move to Sanford or stay in Houston?

OK so I relocated for work and Crime rate is something to consider -Sanford sits at 816.8 per 100K. Median household income is $62,877, which feels about average for the area. Average temperature is around 73--F, so it's warm year-round. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What would you do? It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 8 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in marketing. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Korean.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
