Just moved to Sanford, any tips?

Hey everyone, Been living here since 2018. The median home value here is around $222,000, which is actually reasonable. It's a a smaller city city with about 30,833 people. You can expect to pay around $965 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thoughts? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 6 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is decent.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Downtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
