Housing market in Santa Ana — is it worth buying?
Median home value here is around $657,800. Prices are steep but there are pockets of affordability. For those renting, typical rent is $1975.
Is now a good time to buy in Santa Ana? Or better to keep renting?
Looking for opinions from both homeowners and renters.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Cedar Hills. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Check out the Midtown area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

If you can afford it, Midtown is the best place to live. Period.

Respectfully disagree about the cost of living assessment. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

Don't sleep on Downtown. It's up and coming and still affordable.
