OK so Property taxes are high but you get good services. Am I wrong here?

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because it's been a really good experience overall. The dating scene is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a nurse who relocated here from New York about 15 years ago. The main reasons were work and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is excellent.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
