What I love about living in Santa Barbara

I've been living in Santa Barbara, CA for 14 years now and honestly, there's a lot to love. There are tons of parks and outdoor spaces. Schools in our area are really good. The community here is solid and supportive. If you're thinking about moving here, feel free to ask me anything.

The food scene here is seriously underrated. So many great restaurants.

As someone who moved here from New York, I can confirm most of this. The job opportunities surprised me the most.

I'd add that healthcare options are better than most cities this size. Otherwise spot on!

I've lived in Pine Grove for 1 years and it's decent, has its pros and cons.

Downtown is overrated and overpriced. The suburbs offer way better value.

For families, I'd recommend looking at Cedar Hills. Schools are rated well and it's quiet.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is the west side tends to be more affordable. Makes a big difference.

If you can afford it, Maple Heights is the best place to live. Period.

Don't sleep on Southside. It's up and coming and still affordable.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.
