Anyone work in healthcare in Santa Clara?

OK so I work in automotive and The median home value here is around $1,527,900, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider — Santa Clara sits at 163.1 per 100K. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cheers. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Bought a house here in 2020 and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Property values have gone about the same since then.

I've lived in The Heights for about 9 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- The pet-friendliness scene is improving

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.
