Hey folks, Born and raised here. You can expect to pay around $1,571 for rent here. The median home value here is around $381,700, which seems about average. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in West. It's pretty good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in finance. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: solid. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 2-bedroom. I'm still on the fence after all this time. Compared to Miami it's decent.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 8 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Good luck with whatever you decide..
