Santa Cruz quality of life -am I missing something?
Hey folks, Military spouse here. Average temperature is around 59--F, so the weather is moderate.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 12 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is food scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The North side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

My experience has been mostly positive. the quality of life is solid. The only thing I'd watch out for is safety. Other than that, Feel free to reach out with questions..
