Alright, I'm originally from Salt Lake City and The median home value here is around $411,500, which is pretty steep. Crime rate is something to consider -Santa Fe sits at 346.4 per 100K. It's a a smaller city city with about 88,224 people. Rent is about $1,380/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The suburbs are where most families end up. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Am I wrong here? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
