Best coffee shops in Santa Fe Springs?

OK so I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a small town city with about 19,310 people. Median household income is $86,857, which feels pretty solid for the area. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I've lived in South for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The outdoor recreation scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for singles. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for work and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The job market is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem better than expected.

I've been here 1 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is nightlife. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into running, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Eastside side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Bought a house here in 2020 and it's been a really good experience overall. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a electrician who relocated here from Portland about 4 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Public transit is excellent here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a data analyst, 41, moved here 2 years ago from Salt Lake City. I've lived in West and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Low crime in most neighborhoods
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Limited shopping options
3. The walkability situation is reasonable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- West: Great for young professionals. improving vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Salt Lake City, everything felt surprisingly good. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are growing. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $100K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Hot take but it's not perfect but it works for me. I know a lot of people disagree but after 7 years here, that's my honest assessment.
