Should I move to Santa Maria or stay in Kansas City?

Been meaning to ask this. We're a young couple and Rent is about $1,842/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The school system is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.
