First post here. I'm single, late 40s, and The median home value here is around $1,810,200, which is pretty steep. The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. Median household income is $109,739, which feels pretty solid for the area. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thoughts? Appreciate any input. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's exactly what I was looking for. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Meadowbrook for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by nightlife. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Lots of new development happening
- The safety scene is better than expected
The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..
