My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 5.4%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider — Santa Rosa sits at 481.8 per 100K. Average temperature is around 58°F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $685,000, which is pretty steep. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I wrong here? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
