Moving to Santee -what should I know?

I'm originally from St. Louis and The unemployment rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $653,400 on average. The median home value here is around $653,400, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $105,613, which feels pretty solid for the area. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 4 years and it's exactly what I was looking for. The thing nobody mentions is cultural scene. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the dating scene is legit. And if you're into hiking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..
