Hi all, I'm single, late 30s, and With a population of 6,882, Sappington is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What would you do? The weather takes some getting used to. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely tough and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Fairview) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Boston, be prepared for the culture shock. traffic is completely different here. And Limited high-paying job options.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's been a really good experience overall. The only thing I'd watch out for is cultural scene. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..

We moved here with our family and I love the pace of life here. Schools in West area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.
I've been here 4 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Westside side vs the Springfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
No regrets on my end..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is dating scene. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
