Not sure if this has been asked before, but With a population of 22,268, Sapulpa is a small town. Poverty rate is 12.0%, which is around average. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Is this normal for Sapulpa? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I work in marketing here and it's not perfect but it works for me. The job market for my field is solid. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.
I've been here 14 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is walkability. It's growing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the traffic is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is average.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Hope this helps!.

I've lived in West for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- The outdoor recreation scene is improving
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Bought a house here in 2024 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone down slightly since then.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely improving and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Sunset) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. dating scene is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
