Moving to Saraland for work -advice?

So, I'm a college student here and With a population of 16,304, Saraland is a small town. Household incomes average around $60,577 in Saraland. Average temperature is around 68--F, so the weather is moderate. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What are your go-to spots? The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to.

I've lived in Fairview for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The public transit scene is solid

The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
