Commute times in Sarasota Springs -how bad?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $2,050 for rent here. Rent is about $2,050/month for a decent place. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Thoughts? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The food scene here is surprisingly good.

Weather-wise, the summers are hit or miss and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
