What Saratoga does better than anywhere else
Not sure if this has been asked before, but I grew up here but left for a while. The unemployment rate is 2.2%, which is pretty low. Rent is about $3,501/month for a decent place. Median household income is $241,348, which feels pretty solid for the area. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.
Pros:
- Diverse community
- Good healthcare facilities
- Walkable downtown
- Plenty of shopping options
Cons:
- Not very walkable
- High property taxes
- Poor road conditions
- Not enough green space

The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
