Is Saugus a good place to live?

Random thought, I'm a college student here and Poverty rate is 5.3%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,599 people. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Worth the trade-offs?

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The cultural scene is genuinely pretty good and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (Eastside) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Winters are long and cold.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
