Rent in Saukville getting crazy

Been meaning to ask this. I'm a college student here and Median household income is $79,148, which feels about average for the area. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Am I wrong here? Thanks!

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a HR manager who relocated here from Portland about 4 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Rising rent and home prices

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is improving.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..
