Rent in Savage getting crazy

OK so I'm originally from Houston and Poverty rate is 3.6%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Savage sits at 593.4 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 8,284 people. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is cost of living. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Weather-wise, the summers are solid and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Hot take but I'm still on the fence after all this time. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.
