Anyone regret moving to Savannah?

Hi all, I relocated for work and Median household income is $56,782, which feels about average for the area. It's a a mid-size city city with about 148K people. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What do you all think? Appreciate any input.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Seattle it's underrated.

Hot take but I have mixed feelings honestly. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 6 years and I have mixed feelings honestly. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into mountain biking, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 2 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in finance. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
