Day-to-day life in Savannah, GA

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Household incomes average around $56,782 in Savannah. You can expect to pay around $1,302 for rent here. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, the quality of life is solid. Hope this helps!.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a nurse, 24, moved here 1 years ago from Portland. I've lived in The Heights and Pine Hills, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Cost of living is very reasonable
2. Growing food and restaurant scene
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally decent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The weather situation is wild and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- The Heights: Great for remote workers. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Pine Hills: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Portland, everything felt average. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is established. You can live comfortably on $80K-$100K here.

**Final verdict:**
It's not for everyone but it works for us.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

I've been living here for 13 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The job market is challenging compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in Riverside for about 14 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Chicago, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- The housing market scene is improving

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- The school system scene is surprisingly good

The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited public transit options

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. No regrets on my end..

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by weather. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The walkability scene is average

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Urban sprawl is real

Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want traffic, then yeah this place is great. But if nightlife matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.
