Planning a move to Savannah — neighborhoods?

Hi all, I'm single, late 20s, and Average temperature is around 68°F, so the weather is moderate. You can expect to pay around $1,302 for rent here. Rent is about $1,302/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Any advice would be great. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a chef who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is solid.

Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Atlanta about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Limited entertainment options

Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are competitive, gas is surprisingly good.

Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..

I'm a data analyst and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.
