Savannah in the winter — how bad?
I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider — Savannah sits at 1,735.5 per 100K. Poverty rate is 13.2%, which is around average. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Am I wrong here? Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
