Hey folks, Military spouse here. It's a a small town city with about 15,593 people. The median home value here is around $615,700, which is pretty steep. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is community vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly. Worth doing your research before committing.

I've lived in Midtown for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by cultural scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The job market scene is tough
The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for remote workers. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The healthcare is honestly excellent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a contractor who relocated here from Nashville about 3 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Four distinct seasons
- Lots of family-friendly activities
Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited shopping options
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
