Alright, Born and raised here. The median home value here is around $312,200, which seems about average. Rent is about $1,774/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Has anyone dealt with this? It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I've lived in Midtown for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The outdoor recreation scene is hit or miss
The downsides:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Road conditions need improvement
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's exactly what I was looking for.

Hot take but there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.
