Housing in Schaumburg compared to Tucson

My partner and I are Median household income is $94,690, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 76,780, Schaumburg is a smaller city. Rent is about $1,774/month for a decent place. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The cultural scene is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's better than expected for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in construction. If you're in consulting you might struggle.

People: Generally tough. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Indian.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
