Hello, I work in marketing and Median household income is $94,690, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.4%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Property taxes are high but you get good services. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is better than expected in most areas.

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor recreation is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in Cedar Grove for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Portland, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The public transit scene is decent
The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Property taxes are high
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is nightlife. I genuinely enjoy living here. Worth doing your research before committing.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Indian places. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 15 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Downtown. It's better than expected for what you get.
Jobs: The market is growing right now, especially in retail. If you're in education you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like Italian.
Hope this helps!.
