Rent in Schenectady getting crazy

Been meaning to ask this. I relocated for work and You can expect to pay around $1,109 for rent here. Rent is about $1,109/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this?

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is walkability. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.
