Internet providers in Schertz?

Just moved here 15 months ago and Homes are going for about $292,100 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 43,128 people. The city has invested a lot in new development. Does this match your experience? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a project manager who relocated here from Seattle about 13 years ago. The main reasons were work and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are stable, gas is excellent.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Tampa and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in real estate. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally excellent. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The job market is genuinely average and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. outdoor recreation is completely different here. And Limited shopping options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
