Internet providers in Schertz?

We have two kids and You can expect to pay around $1,593 for rent here. With a population of 43,128, Schertz is a smaller city. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. What would you do? Cheers. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a chef, 28, moved here 10 years ago from LA. I've lived in West and The Heights, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Growing food and restaurant scene
2. Low crime in most neighborhoods
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Chain restaurants dominate
2. Homeless population growing downtown
3. The cost of living situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- West: Great for young professionals. better than expected vibes, walkable.
- The Heights: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from LA, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are affordable. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $50K-$120K here.

**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Definitely worth checking out..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Maple Ridge for 13 years. Moved from Phoenix for family. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is pretty good. We bought in 2022 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts.

**Employment:**
real estate is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are reasonable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's exactly what I was looking for. The outdoor scene is solid - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Maple Ridge schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Rising rent and home prices. Can feel isolated. And safety can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For remote workers, I'd say this is a 8/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Worth doing your research before committing.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely improving and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Maple Ridge) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Salt Lake City, be prepared for the culture shock. school system is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Came here for work and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The public transit is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'm a data analyst and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.
