OK so Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $74,695 in Schofield Barracks. The unemployment rate is 1.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Schofield Barracks sits at 232.1 per 100K. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Should I be concerned? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The city has invested a lot in new development. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.
