Random thought, I'm a remote worker and Household incomes average around $78,380 in Schuyler. Homes are going for about $129,600 on average. Poverty rate is 3.2%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $78,380, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Schuyler sits at 46.9 per 100K. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. TIA! There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The food scene here is excellent. Tons of great BBQ places. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

I've been living here for 6 years and I'd say it's improved dramatically in recent years. The nightlife is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Hope this helps!.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Miami about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is underrated.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've lived in Sunset for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options
- The safety scene is solid
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for young professionals. Hope this helps!.

I'm a writer who relocated here from Seattle about 8 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and retirement.
Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Good luck with whatever you decide..
