Random thought, With a population of 5,247, Schuylkill Haven is a small town. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What do you all think? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Fairview. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally surprisingly good. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: tough. Tons of options if you like Thai.
Feel free to reach out with questions..

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in marketing you might struggle.
People: Generally decent. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like BBQ.
