Hey folks, I'm originally from Raleigh and The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've lived in Greenfield for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's been a really good experience overall. When I first moved here from Houston, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good internet infrastructure
- The walkability scene is surprisingly good
The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for families. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in tech. If you're in real estate you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.

- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- The dating scene scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. No regrets on my end..
