I'm a nurse at the local hospital and You can expect to pay around $557 for rent here. It's a a small town city with about 2,087 people. Average temperature is around 61--F, so the weather is moderate. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Any advice would be great. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to.

I work in construction here and it exceeded my expectations. The job market for my field is pretty good. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Came here for family and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The walkability is honestly pretty good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is surprisingly good in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Tampa about 4 years ago. The main reasons were work and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..
