Thinking about relocating to Sea Cliff from Boston
Anyone else feel this way? I'm single, late 30s, and Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 5,037, Sea Cliff is a small town. Household incomes average around $185,650 in Sea Cliff. Crime rate is something to consider -Sea Cliff sits at 26.2 per 100K. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Thoughts? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is housing market. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.
I've been here 15 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is weather. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the outdoor recreation is legit. And if you're into fishing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The South side vs the Uptown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
Definitely worth checking out..

Bought a house here in 2022 and it exceeded my expectations. Property values have gone up significantly since then.
