The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Anyone in a similar situation? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Minneapolis about 7 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and cost of living.
Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Far from beaches/mountains
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are growing, gas is solid.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. No regrets on my end..
