Sealy vs Albuquerque -which is better?

Been meaning to ask this. Crime rate is something to consider -Sealy sits at 166.8 per 100K. It's a a small town city with about 6,933 people. Household incomes average around $57,237 in Sealy. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Thanks! The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The suburbs are where most families end up. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I've lived in North for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from San Francisco, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Good schools in most areas
- The housing market scene is decent

The downsides:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Bought a house here in 2019 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone about the same since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I work in construction here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is excellent. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 4 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cultural scene is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Oak Park side vs the North side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is outdoor recreation. it exceeded my expectations. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 1 years ago from Seattle and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Westside. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in government. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 17 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Happy to answer more specific questions..
