Job hunting in Seaside -tips?

Not sure if this has been asked before, but I work in tech and Rent is about $2,314/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 57--F, so the weather is moderate. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What would you do? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Used to live on the Pine Hills side, now on the North side. Completely different vibe. I genuinely enjoy living here.

I've lived in Maple Ridge for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Strong job market in several industries
- The outdoor recreation scene is improving

The downsides:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited entertainment options

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..
