Freelancing from SeaTac -experience?

So, Homes are going for about $483,200 on average. The median home value here is around $483,200, which is pretty steep. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Anyone in a similar situation? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

I've lived in North for about 2 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by community vibe. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The dating scene scene is improving

The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'm a physical therapist and I've found I love the pace of life here. The community is surprisingly good and there's always something going on.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is pet-friendliness. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are tough, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want outdoor recreation, then yeah this place is great. But if weather matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Chicago and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: average. Tons of options if you like Korean.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Old Town area are decent. Kids love it here.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's improved dramatically in recent years. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. My neighborhood (Greenfield) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from New York, be prepared for the culture shock. public transit is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value public transit, you'll love it. The housing market is genuinely surprisingly good and I've found it's been a really good experience overall. My neighborhood (Old Town) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. walkability is completely different here. And Limited public transit options.
