How is the nightlife in SeaTac?

Longtime lurker here, The median home value here is around $483,200, which is pretty steep. Household incomes average around $76,517 in SeaTac. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Should I be concerned? I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from San Francisco and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Cedar Grove. It's improving for what you get.

Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in government. If you're in engineering you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: tough. Tons of options if you like BBQ.

No regrets on my end..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Weather-wise, the summers are decent and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem solid.

I've been here 2 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's developing and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the school system is legit. And if you're into running, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the South side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Would recommend to anyone considering it..
