Rent in SeaTac getting crazy

So, Median household income is $76,517, which feels about average for the area. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What do you all think? Looking forward to hearing from you all. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is tough in most areas.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 12 years ago. The main reasons were work and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Active local events and festivals
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are wild, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. Hope this helps!.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's been a really good experience overall. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
