Thinking about relocating to Seattle from Minneapolis
OK so Just moved here 10 months ago and You can expect to pay around $1,998 for rent here. With a population of 741K, Seattle is a major city. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 10 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Midtown. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in tech. If you're in consulting you might struggle.
People: Generally better than expected. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like craft beer.
